Passionate about local quality food Paul Thomas set up the farmcafé in May 2001. Insisting on the best ingredients cooked well he has strived to produce the best roadside food possible. Praised in reviews in most of the national newspapers including The Times, The Independent, The Guardian and many others the cafe is now well established as offering the best in local food cooked to order and served to many satisfied customers.
The cafe uses food which is fresh, local and the source (provenance) well known to us. We have over 100 local suppliers and employ just over 20 local people.
A natural diversification of the business was to open up a shop selling the wonderful local food available in East Suffolk. Officially launched on 5 October 2007 the foodmarket at the farmcafé was opened. Using their large network of local suppliers they have stocked the foodmarket with a wonderful array of food.
